Myles Thompson schreibt zu seinen Aufnahmen:
I spent a few days in Delhi … but I also managed to nip out a couple of times to film some street life scenes, and to see the Taj Mahal in Agra (200 km away from Delhi). Both Delhi and Agra are quite amazing. The food is mind-blowing, the music is brilliant, the temples are inspiring and the shops are incredible. The people I met were also - without exception - extremely kind, thoughtful and very philosophical about life.

The city of three religions: standing by the Wailing Wall quite of a sudden you hear the church bells or muezzin’s prayer. In the Yad Vashem museum the voices remind of the tragic history. The city is friendly to the tourists, but the communities living there are rather hostile to one another. No Jews on the Temple Mount, hardly any Arab visitors in Yad Vashem, and in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher the Catholics and Orthodox Christians fight for the leadership.

Livingstone, Zambia, is home to one of the most beautiful views in the world, Victoria Falls. It’s contrasted with devastating darkness and oppression, completely strong-held by HIV, poverty and prostitution.

“Finding Oregon is the compilation of six months of timelapse photography across the state of Oregon, punctuated by a 1600 mile road trip in September. We’ve filmed the Columbia River Gorge, Mt Hood, Mt Jefferson, the Southwestern Coast, the Alvord Desert, Leslie Gulch, Blue Mountains, Crater Lake, Eagle Cap Wilderness, Deschutes River, and more. We’re proud to have touched all four corners of the state; however Oregon is the kind of place that the more you see, the more places there are to still discover.”

Here’s a beautiful 3 part vignette shot by director Riley Blakeway of Taj Burrow and friends in Fiji. Filming in a place like this, with surfers of this caliber, you’d expect it to look great and it does. Riley goes a little further to make it something else with the color and grain work, which I really appreciate. All three pieces have a great organic film-like grain and the color grading is spot. A feeling and look that you can’t just do with a plug-in.

“Afghanistan – touch down in flight” von Augustin Pictures:
As each of us has his own impression of Afghanistan that is predominantly marked with pictures of foreign forces, explosions and terror, we were privileged to have access to capture daily life and portrait some people of Afghanistan. We hope the pictures you know will merge with the pictures you see and will enrich your view on the country in the Hindu Kush.
Locations:Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif. We wanted to go to other places as well but there were several incidents and security was too bad. Just one day after shooting at the blue mosque in Mazar-e Sharif a mob started from the very same place storming the UN building.
