Our goal with this film is to help viewers further appreciate and take notice of the beauty in life & culture that lies within our world. So the next time you notice something that strikes you as interesting, stop for a second, start powering on your camera, think about why it’s unique, and snap the shot before you miss it. Zu seiner Kompilation “Moments (2007-2010)” schreibt Ian Gamester: “I was always greatly impressed with David Hockney’s joiners, especially his Polaroid works. They seemed like nice little snatches of time, so I pretty much continued shooting them throughout most of 2007 and 2008 when the mood struck. I don’t seem to shoot them any more.”
“For my film portrait of Sasha Grey, I wanted to focus on her expressive and psychological transformation into a cinematic actor, separate from the cues that have associated Sasha with her previous career as a performance artist working within the adult film world. Shot on location at the John Lautner Chemosphere House off Mulholland Drive, the film showcases Sasha as a perpetually evolving figure. Costume designer Ellen Mirojnick dressed Sasha for the part in an array of lingerie and military inspired garments to highlight the dual nature of her masculine / feminine persona.”
